Ok, amazing job ED! The realism of the Apache in VR is stunning. Having the NODS and IHADSS in your field of view, it works perfect with an HMD on your face. It just feels right. Not an intended thing but a working consequence. Also, the controls were daunting at first but messing around with things and I'm starting to feel less stupid. And, if you haven't tried it yet, fly from the front seat. It's a blast! Anyways, just wanted to express my excitement so far. Looking forward to the flights to come. Again, GREAT job ED!!!

Yep same here, a real blast in VR for sure! Great job ED!!

Funny thing with the IHADS, I keep wanting to turn my head to the right to see the altitude scale when what I need to do is just move my eyes to the right. I guess I will break that habit soon enough. I hope anyway.

I agree. The Apache and VR are a great combination. The only problem I have had is after boresighting, and I fire my guns at a target, my rounds tend to hit way off. Are any of you having this problem or am I doing something wrong? I am boresighting the same way as I do when I use my TrackIR and my rounds hit fine on targets then.

What are you setting your range to?

Specs: Win10, i5-13600KF, 32GB DDR4 RAM 3200XMP, 1 TB M2 NVMe SSD, KFA2 RTX3090, VR G2 Headset, Warthog Throttle+Saitek Pedals+MSFFB2  Joystick.

I usually set to auto like Wags explained in the video. I have also switched it between different ranges from 100 to 1500. Still does the same thing. TrackIR I hit targets fine, but in VR it seems a bit different even tho I am doing everything the same way.

Just found this thread:

Might wanna take a look at your boresighting technique.

I couldn't agree more!

Already (despite the very early state) I start to believe that the AH-64D will become my favorite module. It truly sets a new standard and it's an absolute joy in VR.

Thank you for making this possible!
