I cannot find afterburner in the list of controls for searched burn. I found a control but this does not seem to be afterburner. can you tell me how afterburners appear in the listings ? Thanks Alan They don't. The Afterburner kicks in when you advance the throttle across the detent. Look in the special options tab if there is any setting regarding the detent. I don't know from the top of my head. But as far as I know you just push your throttle axis all the way forward to engage the afterburner (if you look in the cockpit, you can see the throttle being lifted across the detent). That's what I have mapped to a button, burner detent on/off but when I hit the button I see no difference. manually pushing forward I dont see the throttle go over. seems to just go to max but not afterburner. Thanks Alan Can you see the throttle in the cockpit going across the detent? Is the Controls Overlay showing a full deflection of the throttle axis? Than you are definetly in burner. Except for a lack of fuel. Check the game settings, if you are by any chance in game mode. I don't know if the Viper suffers from problems related to that, but other modules (some) do. Just check to rule it out. Edited March 23, 2022 by Hiob "Muß ich denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sauge oder saugblase den Schlauchstecker in die Schlauchnut schieben?"

I have just checked this in free flight and I can see the afterburner going on . I will have to check again in the sweep mode as I could not see it going on on that module. seems to be working fine now in the sweep I think I must have been in after burner and then hit the off button that I set so thought it was not working. Thanks Alan Yeah it sounds like you were just getting on the back side of the drag curve. Afterburner engages as soon as you push the throttle past the afterburner gate (approximately 75% throttle) If you look at the throttle in the sim you can see when it lifts to go into the afterburner gate, if the throttle doesn't rotate up then it's not going into afterburner, If this is so you need to follow the the following steps. Go to the main menu of the sim, Up at the top left select options, once the options page opens select the "Special" tab at the top, on the left scroll down till you see F-16C and click on that. Then you should see "Afterburner Detent" and you want to set that to "always off" Btw if you're having difficulty looking around in the cockpit without headtracking the default keybind to active mouse-look is Left ALT + C Hope that helps. I have my head tracking working its just a case of getting used to it, just needed extra light in front of me. it was all behind. I think I still need to extend the dead zones. its mainly OK but can be a little jumpy looking straight down. I will adjust my setting, thanks Alan
