dburne Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 (edited) I have been reading about the FMC in the manual which has a lot of info in there about it. I was wondering, we have ability to assign FMC Release to a button on HOTAS. Is it currently needed for the Apache and in practicality why would we use it? It seems to release a lot of the automation channels if I am reading it correctly. I currently do not have it bound to a button but if needed I will, just trying to understand where I might need it? Thanks for any clarification. Mr_Blastman Posted March 23, 2022 Posted March 23, 2022 My issue is if I press FMC release the only way to turn stuff back on is to go through a MFD and there's not a button to do the reverse.

Ok so why would one want to use FMC Release? Ah yes ok thanks that makes sense. Good to know, not going to worry with mapping to a button then. slobberdobber Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Interesting. I wonder why Chuck recommends it as a control binding? null
Charly_Owl Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Basically, I've added the binding as a provision in case non-catastrophic damage to the SCAS is implemented. At the moment, I've never seen individual channel failure or a single channel malfunction. Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Chuck's Guides on Mudspike Chuck's Youtube Channel Chuck's Patreon
