George can see through clouds, vehicle smoke, marker smoke and trees all at the same time and land hellfire shots

George is cheating. He can see through clouds and all manners of obstructions and still get hellfire shots to hit. Pretty sure lasers don't go through clouds either. I saw this in caucasus when engaging a target in a fairly high valley that was filled with clouds. George would have no issue identifying targets and engaging them through the very thick soup.

Neither TV, FLIR or lasers should penetrate clouds.

Again, big multiplayer session, no track. But it should be fairly easy to reproduce.

Hi,
this is a DCS core issue for AI, currently clouds have no impact on the sensors being used by AI.

I have tested George with buildings and he does not lase.

Trees is situational, you can get LOS to a target in trees

I'd be interested to know if the team is working to resolve this in the near future, and are we likely to wait weeks or months?

If AI can see through clouds, the only fair thing to do when setting up a multiplayer server would be to a) disable clouds or b) disable AI.

It's not just george either. all optically guided systems should be affected. That includes ground units like the rapier, tunguska (at least the missile part), zsu-23 emplacements, machine gunners on vehicles, etc etc. same with IRST on jets.
