Magnum Posted April 6, 2022 Posted April 6, 2022 I think this is one of the least utilized features of DCS. Sure, you can setup supply/re-supply routes between warehouses, but it's just a number that ticks up every so often. It'd add a nice visual aspect to the world if a warehouse needed bombs and an AI transport or capable aircraft would actually supply the requesting warehouse.
Mike_Romeo Posted April 6, 2022 Posted April 6, 2022 Pretty sure you can already make AI trucks driving between warehouses by using the advanced waypoint settings. My skins
Kang Posted April 7, 2022 Posted April 7, 2022 You can, but just like with cargo carrying helicopters you need to specifically set up a 'well done!'-message for this to have any effect. For a future dynamic campaign it would be most interesting to have actually working supply chains, as in the inventories get adjusted when cargo carrying vehicles actually arrive. That would make it possible to disrupt enemy supply lines properly. Up to now any such plan requires quite a bit of manual scripting. 3

FlankerKiller Posted April 10, 2022 Posted April 10, 2022 Pretty much a necessity for the dynamic campaign. This is something I'm not sure alot of people realize. If you were to destroy a supply depot you could cripple an entire attacking force, or defending force. Finding logistics nodes could make recon flights important, killing them is a reason to perform deep strikes, knowing the routs gives an opportunity to interdict supply convoys. All of that is much more interesting if it affects the larger war.
