Not able to communicate with ground crew or to rearm

I have not played with the I-16 in a while so today I tried it out in a mission I am making on the Channel map.  I was unable to request ground power or wheel chocks.  I used the \ menu, selected either option but no sound of the command being spoken and no response from the ground crew.  I was also not able to get rearmed, the menu comes up but no request is issued and no response.

I checked the Mossie in the same mission and comms were working normally.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the I-16 with no luck.  

Anyone else having isssus?

Did you all remembered to open the cockpit? 😅

The I-16 is open cockpit 🙂

Happened to me as well, could be your case.

maybe the latest Open beta patch fixed it, I just tried a blue I-16 at a blue airfield, and the ground crew responds:

Interesting, I am also on Open Beta but I still get no response.  Thanks for checking, that means in problem is on my end somehow.

I just tested the instant action cold start mission, and you are correct, the ground crew does not respond. However, if I create a new mission set on Normandy on a cold I-16, and then the crew does respond ... seems like a weird bug:

Could you please share that mission file?

Loaded it via 'Mission' ... no dice, no response to wheel chocks nor refuel/re-arm ... 😞

I tested Rudel's mission with Easy Comms and Radio assist in on and off positions but it still does not work.  I then tried both on at the same time.  No change.

 

I do have SRS installed which MIGHT be an issue.

could be … I don't use SRS.

I had SRS installed once, but no longer.
