Hi,

is it somehow possible to do a salute with the VR controller to get launched of the carrier?
(Tried the search but hadn´t a result, but I´m pretty bad using the search though)

cheers

Like with gesture recognition?  Yeah that would be pretty cool.  Miles's Point-Ctrl device has a set of buttons you mount to the side of your HMD, you can map "salute" to one of those buttons and whack it when you salute

I have a three way switch to control lights, I mapped "salute" to the middle position.  So it seems realistic at night anyways, I turn on the lights and they get me off the deck

Ryzen 5600X (stock), GBX570, 32Gb RAM, AMD 6900XT (reference), G2, WInwing Orion HOTAS, T-flight rudder

Initially I used VR controllers but in the long run its not worth the hassle. Leave your hands on the hotas and get a pointCtrl or use the ministick to map the mouse. Works imo better than the VR controllers.

The best thing i could imagine orther than button mapping is using a VoiceAttack command, like "Shoot" or "Those about to launch, we salute you!"

Download voice attack and just say "salute". I use it through Vaicom Pro, but if you don't want to pay for the software I think voice attack lets you create 10 free voice commands.

Pretty late answer from my end 😄, but VA is a good alternative, will try it.

But the feel using the VR controller to do a real salute would be awesome though.
Point-Ctrl is great, but I try to minimize stuff ^^

Thx

Trust me when I say - comparing Point CTRL on fingers versus holding VR Controllers in the hands, Point CTRL is definitely more in the minimized arena.
