Fropa Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 This bug has been persistent throughout the EA period, and still exists despite the recent patch. I have replicated it many times. I am unable to attach the track file, as it is 75mb. Here is the scenario: I'm in the middle of a sortie and I take battle damage resulting in a single engine failure. I RTB on the good engine, land, engage APU, shut down both engines, and wait for the rotor RPM to read 0 on the A/C page. Then, I'll shut off the APU and battery, wait a few minutes, then request repair. I'll get the unable to repair/shut off your engines message, despite being fully shutdown. What's interesting is that on the in-game info bar, the battle-damaged engine will still show it spinning at around 44%rpm, despite having fully shut down the aircraft according to on board instruments. I'm not sure what is causing this desync, but it means that I am unable to repair the aircraft, and I have to reslot and start all over again from scratch. Please help. Thanks.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted April 29, 2022 ED Team Posted April 29, 2022 I think I have reproduced the problem in single player. I was able to damage engine one and shut down, but then checked the info bar at the bottom and noticed rpm still at 45. I have reported it, and will mark this as reported as I think it is related. thanks 3 1 Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Any idea on when it will be fixed?
FalcoGer Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 Even if you cut the throttles, hit the fire button and have the ground crew drain the aircraft to 0 fuel, the dead engine rpm will stick.
