F1000Starfire Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 I am using DCS on an older computer running Windows 7. As such, I am restricted to the last version that supports it, obtained via Steam betas. If I buy the UH-1 via Steam, will I get a version that works with my version of DCS?
Calabrone Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 F1000 Starfire Theoretically the Huey should work because the module came out in 2013. If you have the Steam version installed you are required to get the modules from Steam. Today the latest Beta update is 2.7.12.23362 and this should be your version. If the modules you have work the Huey should work too. Ambassador does not carry penalty. Hi.

Calabrone Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 F1000Starfire with your version you can use the Huey module. Unfortunately Steam doesn't let you try the modules as ED and anyway you'd better get it with discounts, as I did, because it costs exactly half.

Steam has a 2hr/two week grace period to test programs, so it should be straight forward as long as you are timely in testing and requesting a refund (if needed). My old DCS versions of the Huey work but I bought it several years ago, so have an associated Starforce CD key, I'm not sure new purchases do, so it's something you'd need ask support about. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/ i9 9900K @4.8GHz, 64GB DDR4, RTX4070 12GB, 1+2TB NVMe, 6+4TB HD, 4+1TB SSD, Winwing Orion 2 F-15EX Throttle + F-16EX Stick, TPR Pedals, TIR5, Win 11 Pro x64, Odyssey G93SC 5120X1440
