Vampire, is your modem a pure modem or also a router?

D-link 360R ADSL modem similar to this: (very simple, maybe i need to change )

http://www.dlink.com/products/?sec=0&pid=67

Im using it without a router (nowadays)

UDP works, TCP NOT :(

2008-12-22 01:14:27 OPEN UDP 88.209.236.67 198.65.115.165 10308 10307 - - - - - - - - -

2008-12-22 01:16:00 CLOSE UDP 88.209.236.67 198.65.115.165 10308 10307 - - - - - - - - -

Vampire, why do you have three IPs ?

Your router and your PC have one IP.

You can check the router IP here:

http://whatismyipaddress.com/

This is the IP your friends should connect to.

What you need to do is tell your router to which IP he should open the ports (UDP AND TCP).

Usually there is a context menu, something like:

Application name - Type in Blackshark or whatever you want

Port/Portrange - if its a port range, enter 10308-10308

Protocol - UDP/TCP

Target IP: Your PCs IP

Where do you have this protocol from Vampire?

Monitoring Firewall - C:\windows\pfirewall.log - it's a text file and works only if firewall turned on (MS WinXP) and if you enabled in the windows firewall settings

#Version: 1.5

#Software: Microsoft Windows Firewall

#Time Format: Local

#Fields: date time action protocol src-ip dst-ip src-port dst-port size tcpflags tcpsyn tcpack tcpwin icmptype icmpcode info path

Gents,

I'm having a problem when trying to host a session where players can join for about a minute, then get kicked out. They get the "Server shut down message" and I get the "Player has left game" message. The clients also seem to be unable to unpause the mission. My session doesn't appear in the server list, so they have to connect by IP. They have also tried putting the port number at the end of my public IP address.

I've been able to connect to other hosts and play online without problem.

I think I have set up port forwarding correctly for my router and I've attached a screenshot of the settings for it. My computer's IP is 192.168.0.101 on my network (verified by running ipconfig from DOS window). DHCP is running on the router.

If I put my router into DMZ, the players can connect, but I don't want to run in DMZ. I've run ShieldsUp (http://www.grc.com/default.htm) and port 10308 is open on my end, and stealthed on the clients' end.

I'm very much stumped.

OK,

Got the issue resolved. I had a second computer connected to my router which seemed to have been causing a conflict with BS. Once I disconnected the internet cable from that computer, I was able to host BS without a problem.

Cheers.

Vampire, but if you turn off the firewall, how you can have a log?

yes was a good questions --> i solved the problem:

windows firewall allowed open port by DCS that's why i was able to monitoring

it seems Kaspersky Internet Security also allowed running DCS too but i saw in windows firewall monitor DCS multi trying to use the port 10307 also

so i opened manually in Kaspersky IS UDP/TCP 10308 & 10307

it's strange a bit but now DCS works online multi

anyway TY for your help Groove

I have exact same problem. I have static (fixed) ip, ports are open on my router. I have exception for dcs.exe on in windows firewall (have also tried disabling it), AVG antivirus only thing I'm running. I can conect as client, but cannot host via internet or direct ip. (UPD/TCP 10308, and 10307 are open in router settings).

All my other port forewarded games run correctly.

Also have another computer hardwired to router, but my host machine has static ip, so that should have nothing to do with it. I'm not diconnecting my LAN.

Why ya have to be a network engineer to get this game running? Bad mp code in my opinion. [rant off]
