Dropbear Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Hi! May have been asked before, but will a new manual be available which has the english cockpit switch names included?? trying to follow the manual for some procedures and getting lost trying to find the switches.
Frederf Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Odd, the downloadable PDF manual has switch names in both languages. The PDF that came with my english version of the game has both as well.
Dropbear Posted December 22, 2008 Author Posted December 22, 2008 yeh it has the full name of the switch, but im not sure it's exactly the same as present in the cockpit .. never mind, may be me ..
Bobcat Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 No it's not you, as far as I'm aware there is no manual showing English labels on the switches. However, they are translated (sort of). BC
Debio Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 if i understand the OP corectly, then i have the same prob, and am taking longer to learn my way around the cockpit. Problem: while the manual has explanations for everything with english translations for all the switches and indicators, the pictures only show the russian cyrilic writing. so, if you are looking at a pic, you end up reading through all the following text until you find the the translation for the switch that you would have seen immediately if the pic had english writing. it is frustrating at times because so much time is spent re-reading text repeatedly. cheers...

Back and forth.. Back and forth.. To read it properly, I open two manuals and cross-check them. One for text, one for picture or cyrilic. It's a kind of studying and it's fun to me now but many users will give it up and I was also frustrated.
