Unable to locate CoreMod UH-1 folder

I want to add the UH-1 to the Syria country for a mission I am creating. In order to do this, I understand that I need to enter the country in the lua file for the aircraft CoreMods/aircraft/UH-1H/Entry directory in the main install folder of either Stable or Beta

However, in neither of those locations is the UH-1 listed

nullWhat am I missing here, why would it not be there when everything else appears to be. If there was any doubt, I do own said aircraft and can load up any mission for it and fly it

You must have it in this folder :
Program Files >DCS World Open Beta > Mods > aicraft. 
If you open the Mission Editor and select Syria and select Edit > Helicopter you will see that you have to find the Huey if you say you have it. I don't have it in the CoreMods folder either.

@Calabrone You were right that is was under Mods etc, so thank you for that. However, within the entry.lua, I was unable to find the countries within it

As for the second part of what you typed with reference to the Mission Editor, you kind of lost me. I def have the UH-1, I just can't find it listed

The units available to each country are stated on the db_countries.lua file, located at \DCS\Scripts\database\ within the DCS program folders. For Syria you have got:

    cnt_unit( units.Helicopters.Helicopter, "SA342M");
    cnt_unit( units.Helicopters.Helicopter, "SA342L");
    cnt_unit( units.Helicopters.Helicopter, "SA342Mistral");
    cnt_unit( units.Helicopters.Helicopter, "SA342Minigun");
    cnt_unit( units.Helicopters.Helicopter, "Mi-24V");

You can edit this file to add the UH-1H, but keep in mind that you will fail the Integrity Check, which will impair your ability to do multiplayer.

 

A better approach would be to add the "Combined Joint Task Forces Red" to your coalition, that way you can add the Helo without messing with the DCS config files.

Hi Rudel

Thanks for the information. I have no issue with MP as since day one, even as far back as LOMAC, I have never been on an MP Server even once

I will go however to the second option you have suggested
