Mission 4 - Yak escort - No sweat!

Hi,

I'm just re-re-playing the whole campaign (because I love it), and I've just encountered a small issue in the mission 4 - Yak 40 escort (verion MiG-15) :

I can hear the strange sound. But, no failure occurs. Should be an hydraulic one ? All gauges are ok. Hydraulic remains ok and I can land without problem, but the very poor visibility.

 

Just installed the very latest Stable DCS version 2.7.14.24228 but I had the same issue with the previous version.

Unfortunately, the "set failure" trigger doesn't work like it did when the campaign was first made.   I need to dig into that and see if there's an adjustment that can be made.
And with regards to the visibility, that's another thing that's changed as updates have come and gone.  I'll be brining up the visibility, as it's VERY pronounced now.   Was the visibility that bad in the past?  I know it's been fluctuating.
Glad to hear it's a re-re play though   that's awesome!

@Apache600 I am really enjoying the campaign but am stuck on this mission M4. F10 brings up the map, not an option to declare an emergency. How do I set up F10 to work please?

F10 radio menu.    Gotta press " \ " or whatever button you use to bring up the Comm Menu.  It's the same button you use to tell the ground crew to re-arm/re-fuel, or to talk to Tower.

Thanks @Apache600 for some reason \ isn’t working for me once I take off. I will investigate and sort that then go from there.

Looks like the comms menu issue is something to do with Viacom Pro.

Just flew Mission 4 on DCS 2.9.5.55918, and I actually got the

Main and Utility hydraulic failure while I was still escorting the Yak, well before the sound. Not a big deal, that's what happens when you fly around in a relic without any maintenance parts or trained mechanics
Note to self: double check the parachute!

I'll have to visit that guy again.   Getting the timing down was a tricky thing to do years ago when this campaign was made.  With all the updates, I guess the sound isn't lining up with the event.   Appreciate you letting me know!   Glad it's occurring though, there was a while where it didn't.
