TM MFD buttons and "hold" keys on the TM Warthog

One HOTAS Warthog throttle and the corresponding FLCS F16 together with two TM MFDs. DCS latest upgrade, F16 is the plane, running the HOTAS in virtual device mode / TARGET software running. Fyling in VR / Pimax 8KX.

When I use Zoom and Spyglass in VR, which are designed as momentary, I defined the approbiate keys as "hold" in TARGET. "Press" doesn't work cause it just sends a short keypress to zoom in for a fraction and zoom to normal instantly. Normal behaviour, fine.

While I hold down the HOTAS key to zoom in no other keys work apart mouse and joystick axis.

Is there a workaround or am I doing something wrong?

For any input which is held, it's better to map the function to a joystick button in DCS rather than use the keyboard.

I dont use target at all. 

I use the throttle boat switch so like you say, it's not momentary, fwd action for VR zoom, and   modifier+fwd action for spyglass zoom, and I don't need to keep pressing on the button

Use a DX key rather that a keyboard key and it will work fine, in the Adjust Controls screen add in the DX keys under the virtual controller
