Tacon navigation does not work for a2a

Hi, everyone,

When I did a2a, I tried to find the tanker by using Tacon.

I set it via jester and turned PDCP to Tacon. But it does not work.

Is it a bug? or did I miss something?

A2A is currently screwed. As much as I understand, it is correct for ED and not correct for the guys who do A2A refueling for life. 

Just dial in the tanker in T/R mode for now.

Thank you for answering. I also tried to use T/R to find the tanker. But nothing happend.

Right now you'll need to tune it manually on your own TACAN panel, and make sure the TACAN selector is set to PLT not NFO.

If you ask Jester he'll take over the TACAN then set his own panel to the right freq, but A/A mode. Flipping it back to PLT and T/R mode isn't enough, you'll need to add the freq by hand too.

Not sure I'm understanding this.  I never touch the TACAN panel...just ask Jester to do it, and it works fine for both air and ground.

There might be a fix for this Jester behaviour in the next update, so he will also use T/R for airborne transmitters (as a workaround untill ED fixes A/A TACAN).

Maybe I'm not understanding something...but fwiw, I was just able to use TACAN from a tanker last night, via Jester.

My test was unsuccessful. Might need more testing.

Are you only asking Jester, or are you also messing with the pilot's TACAN panel as well.  If the later, I'm wondering if that's messing something up, as I never touch it.

Yes, I tried pilot controls first.

Okay, maybe that's indeed where the bug lies.  Try just only going through Jester to set it for the moment.

I run the instant action mission "Air refueling practice" then go right to Jester menu to have him set TACAN to the tanker... no go. If I set manually his or mine TACAN to T/R it works.

Like I said, there should be a fix/workaround for this in the upcoming update.
