gav88888 Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 (edited) Hi, I did a mission last night, bombing some T80 and T90 tanks with some support trunks but when using FLIR they were not white hot, they just looked normal. The mission had some mist/fog so not sure if this would effect things. The vehicles were stationary until a bomb dropped then the other ones moved and stopped again. Thanks Edited June 22, 2022 by gav88888
Solution Kang Posted June 22, 2022 Solution Posted June 22, 2022 As far as I know currently vehicles that are not moving will stop their engines, thus when they spawn stopped and never move, they won't be hot. 1
gav88888 Posted June 22, 2022 Author Posted June 22, 2022 I did wonder that, and would explain why they were cold, but seems a bit silly that they start up the engines to move after their mate is blown up, then turn the engine off again lol
gav88888 Posted June 22, 2022 Author Posted June 22, 2022 (edited) Done some testing and you can see a white hot exhaust after approx 1min then the vehicle is fully white by 2-3min, but why are the skuds white when the vehicle is cold, do they heat the missles? null Edited June 22, 2022 by gav88888 1
gav88888 Posted June 24, 2022 Author Posted June 24, 2022 @BIGNEWY Hi, is this something in the pipeline to be fixed for FLIR issues?
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted June 24, 2022 ED Team Posted June 24, 2022 The current situation is this. Some vehicles remain to be finished for the new FLIR layer. Spawned stopped vehicles are currently cold. The team are aware so please be patient. 1 Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
