Schlomo1933 Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 For me the same. But also with burble off and on. Acls will overshoot. by the way, is the burble effect tuned down ? It’s much easier to land the f14a with burble on .
Top Jockey Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 In Open Beta 2.8.6.41363 the ACLS works perfectly most of the times, even in edited missions, with heavy rain, some wind and heavy aircraft payload. (Don't know how is the Carrier deck pitch on those situations though.) Other times it fails to catch a wire, I suppose to mimic that it might not always be 100 % effective in real life ? It's not like it's randomized. It just works probably with the same shortcomings the real system had. You have to keep HOTAS to correct it and take over in any moment for safety. For pitching carrier deck you have to set quite strong winds in DCS afaik. Devs say that you should have DCS wake turbulence off while flying the Tomcat due to their internal implementation in the module. Top Jockey Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Thank you, will try with wake turbulence off.
