TonyP Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 At times I'm not sure if the wheel brakes are engaged or not engaged, sometimes I hit the [W] key, sometimes I don't, is there a way to identify if the wheel brakes are on or off? Also it would be nice to confirm the status of my helo, I can tell from the info bar at the bottom of the screen when I'm in outside view mode, but is there a way to get it to function when you're in the cockpit? I keep hitting [Y-LCtrl] but the info bar doesn't appear at the bottom of my cockpit screen. I'm trying to learn how to fly this helo, right now it's a learning chore, one day I might learn how to blow something up., but first things first.
EvilBivol-1 Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Press RCTRL+ENTER to open the controls display window. It will provide wheel brake (as well as parking brake) indication. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules
JonK Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 The cockpit indication for the parking brakes is also on the backside of the cyclic.

AlphaOneSix Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 If you look on the back panel at all of the hydraulic gauges, one is a wheel brake pressure gauge, If it's zero, they are off. ;)
Frederf Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 The bottom of the cyclic is the wheel brake paddle. When you press W this moves in toward the cyclic and away when you release. I don't know how you know if the parking brake is on though.
