JH-7 seems like it leans more heavily towards anti-ship roles, but still there seems to be some overlap: both can carry boatloads of bombs to drop with a TGP for example. Also I wouldn't expect JH-7 to offer much in the way of self escorting if push come to air-to-air shove. PLAAF and PLANAF also have Su-30MKK and the more local-ish J-16 Flanker variants, and those imo are more of a direct analogue to the F-15E. Also, sadly I don't think we're getting any of the types mentioned here as flyables in DCS any time soon... probably not even as AI so... yeah... Wishlist: F-4E Block 53 +, MiG-27K, Su-17M3 or M4, AH-1F or W circa 80s or early 90s, J35 Draken, Kfir C7, Mirage III/V DCS-Dismounts Script

As AI, J-16 and SU-30MKK can use same code and FM as DCS:SU-27 ,DCS:SU-33 and DCS:J-11A, adjusted for munitions, and of course updated 3d model. For AI opponent or AI ally, that is more then good enough. Looking at wing loading and size of JH-7 and reported munitions, if a AI DCS: JH-7 uses SU-24 FM, adjusted for munitions and GW, it is likewise more then acceptable for DCS purposes. In a hypothetical DCS Asset Pack: PLAAF and PLAN Naval Aviation. Another option is to assign DCS AI Tornado FM to DCS AI JH-7. Perhaps JH-7 is Chinese Tornado. Edited July 20, 2022 by DmitriKozlowsky
Dr_Pavelheer Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 "Chinese Tornado" was the first thing that crossed my mind when I saw JH-7 for the first time. Who knows, maybe it will be Deka's next project? We desperately need more red aircrafts 1
