_SteelFalcon_ Posted July 21, 2022 Posted July 21, 2022 Reproduction: load Mavs and GBU 12 power on MAV Fly in range of Mav (about 8nm from a SPI) confirm that the MAV range scale is displayed now select GBU 12 now on HMD the Mav Range Scale is displayed.
Frederf Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 CCRP release angle scale for GBU-12 and MLE scale for Maverick look almost identical. The only differences is that MLE is 20nm fixed while CCRP scale is automatically dynamic and CCRP has a number below the minimum scale tic. I'd want to know why the CCRP scale isn't being displayed on the HUD in the first picture. You could test if the MLE scale is mistakenly used on the HMCS when GBU-12 selected by having an automatic scale of not 20nm. If the scale is 20nm then you know it's the MLE and not the CCRP scale.

It also has a stuck scale when i use harms and am nowhere near in range of the SPI for the harm. you can test it with about any weapon. Even rocket pods. If i was 7nm away from the target with the mav, i swap weapon type, now my HMD shows a 7nm scale. test it for yourself and let me know. it even showed a scale for mavericks after i landed from a mav sortie and rearmed harms but no more mavs. I took off, went to AG mode, turned on my harms (way too far from the target to get a harm scale in POS submodes). This is definitely wrong. oh and if it was a ccrp scale, then why is the range not decreasing on the scale? When overflying the target point it still shows the values from when i had MAVs selected and was in MAV range. Edited July 22, 2022 by _SteelFalcon_
Frederf Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 I believe it's getting stuck but can you reproduce the issue? I changed from A65 to G12 with HMCS showing MLE scale and it didn't stick when changing weapons. There must be something which causes the MLE to stick that I'm not doing. F16 MLE scale.trk
_SteelFalcon_ Posted July 22, 2022 Author Posted July 22, 2022 I‘ll have another go at it, probably tomorrow or so. I was able to reproduce it but during online play where tracks are insanely large and not much use for here. I‘ll try to capture the issue specifically
_SteelFalcon_ Posted July 23, 2022 Author Posted July 23, 2022 (edited) reproduced, see track attached. im in mav range from STP 1, scale shows 8nm. i change to HE rockets, HMD still shows scale 8nm, scale doesn't move, even if i fly closer to the STP 1. it is frozen at 8nm, so i believe it is a MAV range scale and not a CCRP or any other whatever type of scale. mav Range Scale stuck on HMD.trk Edited July 23, 2022 by _SteelFalcon_
