jeffham222 Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 Built a new computer, I copied my old SSD to my new NVME drive. Wondering how to make this work. Intel Core i7-6700@3.4GHz EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB 16GB RAM TM TFRP Rudder Pedals TM TWCS Throttle Virpil VPCWarBRD Base TM F/A-18C Hornet Grip
Flappie Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 A good way to do it: Rename your game installation folder (the one which contains the "bin" folder) so it doesn't get overwritten (example: rename your "DCS World OpenBeta" folder to "My DCS"). Download the installer here (choose beween Release or OpenBeta) : https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/ Launch the installer. Once the installer starts downloading updates: kill it. Now, copy what's inside your "My DCS" into the new game installation folder. Run a DCS repair. Don't forget to copy your previous "Saved Games/DCS..." folder to your new C:\ drive, same location (it contains your custom bindings, liveries, options, SP career...). ---
jeffham222 Posted July 23, 2022 Author Posted July 23, 2022 Yeah I think I have to copy the old "Saved Games/DCS..." folder from old C drive to new. How can I do that while still using the old computer? A thumb drive or something? Flappie Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 Yes, a thumb drive will do. If you have a size issue, just empty your "Saved Games/DCS.../Tracks" folder. ---
jeffham222 Posted July 23, 2022 Author Posted July 23, 2022 I think I got it. Thanks, Flappie! 1 Intel Core i7-6700@3.4GHz EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB 16GB RAM TM TFRP Rudder Pedals TM TWCS Throttle Virpil VPCWarBRD Base TM F/A-18C Hornet Grip
