NightFlier Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 (edited) Hi, I noticed that AI aircrafts are not keeping the skin selected in Mission Editor when flying the mission on a server (NOTE: selected skins are skins of the module, not third party skins) If launched as Single Player it works (both from Missions and from ME) but it doesn't when launched in Multiplayer. Aircrafts reverts to default skins. It doesn't have any issue on Statics, it just does that on AI aircrafts. PS: skins added that are non part of the default module's skins are visible with no issues. Flappie Posted July 28, 2022 Posted July 28, 2022 Do you have an example of aicraft and skin for us to test, please? ---

I selected one of the Tophatters on the F-14A and tried the Vandy VX-4 too and it reverts to the Jolly Rogers. I tried the "Fifth-Fifth" on the F-16 and it reverts to the Gamblers. All of them are original skins coming with the module. I'm not the only one having this issue, actually all of the people I talk to about this are having the same (different servers, not a same group of pilots) PS: skins added from third parties works perfectly. It just does that with original skins. Flappie Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 I see two possibilities here: Some servers don't allow livery changes. It's a dedicated server parameter: Or you stumbled upon this bug: 1 ---

It's a dedicated server parameter: Or you stumbled upon this bug: I already checked the server option and skins can be changed (the option is ticked). The second issue isn't the case as I double checked which skin is selected and showed in ME and in mission. I even tried to change skin and reselect the one I want, saved the mix and launched it in Multiplayer...still the issue is there. It's like the dedicated server lacks of default skins. Have you been able to replicate the problem? Flappie Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 I've just made a test with my dedicated server. I had no such issue (I tested the Fifty-Fifth F-16 livery and the 3 F-14 Madhatters liveries). I understand than you're not the only one experiencing this issue, but I need to understand it to solve it. Please reproduce your issue and send you dcs.log file over. ---

I'll do that tomorrow morning, but as fas as I can see, your screen is about your skin as a client, the issue is on AI aircrafts.
