SD-10 Real world truly that fast, fake? Just not that lethal

SD-10 is a really fast missile folks, no joke. But damn, the SD-10 just can't burn through 4th gen++ electronic containers (ECM suites). Missile in DCS world is a little too lethal to say the least.

SD-10 parameters and electronics are strictly classified. We will not be able to verify its effectiveness like we can in case of weapons used in many real life conflicts.

It's a modern missile, and it has plenty of tricks against ECM. We don't have electronics data on any missile in DCS, but it's fair to assume it's more or less equal to AMRAAM and R-77 as far as ECM resistance is concerned.

What's this based on?

And there are more counter-jamming techniques than just burning through them like we have in DCS - we don't have a proper electronic environment to really do electronic warfare properly.

But suffice to say, exact capabilities are going to be classified, even if the general theory isn't - I don't think you're going to do any better than C:MO on jammer effectiveness, which purely uses assumed technology level (expressed as an early/late of a decade - so a late 2010s jammer will be incredibly effective against a 60s radar, a 60s jammer against a 2010 radar will be completely ineffective).

Some of the reasons why modern active radar homing missiles are so lethal are that

  1. the emitting radar is very close to the target, because it's in the missile
  2. even if the ECM is effective against the missile's radar, missiles like e.g. the AMRAAM (and probably also the SD-10) can home in on the ECM emissions instead (less accurate, but often good enough to get the missile so close that the missile's radar will "burn through" the ECM at some point)

If certain online games are something to go by we could get such data by just arguing about it online for long enough.
