flyingscotsman Posted April 12 Posted April 12 If I'd known that, I'd have asked for as seat up there in the nacelle. They did a high speend run, one evening out of St Mawgan (Cornwall). There was a short briefing, and we asked if it could go through the sound barrier. It was pointed out, that with 4 Olympus engines, same as the Vulcan, it would in theory be no problem, but the wing panels might get a bit bent, so that was not going to get demonstrated. A while later, In the middle of this, I had to go to the loo, no problem, unplugged headset...got in the loo, replugged after I was sat down to hear,"Hi speed right turn, HANG ON, GO!".......Not the best position to be in on a high speed turn, I can vouch for that, MAN did I HANG ON! I sort of fell out of the loo after the turn and the Nav spotted me, They all got very concerned that I was ok,,,,I was. They had forgotten about us passengers, and they knew never to be there.....lesson learned. lol. 4
HE5405 Posted April 17 Posted April 17 This is awesome! Can’t wait to see it finished! Spent a couple of hours last night starting a Nimrod Fuselage as a side project as my laptop is struggling with the Jag model, but think I can safely scrap that and have to find something else. Best of luck! 2
Nivron Posted Friday at 02:17 PM Author Posted Friday at 02:17 PM So I wont lie, there was a little bit of burnout for a few months however back into things. Animations are all complete, weapon pylons are all on and configured (might make own weapons such as stingray but TBD), still trying to figure out the sounds and currently putting the textures on. I cant give a timeframe but at least its progressing. 9 1

Tonker Posted Friday at 05:43 PM Posted Friday at 05:43 PM (edited) No rush, no stress - thanks for giving up your free time to a project like this! Sounds like some good progress, and starting to look very tidy. Edited 7 hours ago by Tonker Sp! 1 Nah, I've only just met 'er...:pilotfly:
flyingscotsman Posted Friday at 06:05 PM Posted Friday at 06:05 PM Wow that's someone not listening to what they're being asked or not looking at a Nimrod photo. Who does 26g....except in area 51 I suppose. Out of St Mawgan one night, the pilots were saying the engines, which were the same as the Vulcan, could easily take us past Mach1. but that the wings might not like it. But they did a Hi speed run with a couple of turns. I thought they had finished after the first one and the way the conversation went. Went to the loo....and got caught out as we went into the last turn.....very interesting....and difficult couple of minutes. I staggered out the loo after and the crew were horrified, they just knew not to go there but forgot we were ground based....I was ok, after a rest... lol, the things we end up doing. 2
joey45 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Looking awesome. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
