Mega big BUG Crash in last Open beta !!!!

A very big crash due to a bug in the last open beta version. Impossible to attach the data or log files given the importance of the crash! Action that led to the crash: Launch DCS open beta (the latest version) open the encyclopedia and view the F14A Video driver crash (Nvidia 1080 Ti with latest official stable drivers) Windows 10 crash (completely up to date with the latest update), loss of multi-screen display, loss of mouse and keyboard, ... Windows access impossible even after two clean shutdowns (UC button) and two clean restarts!! ! In short, it's not the first time that using the encyclopedia has crashed my computer, but never to this extent!!! I do not yet measure the chance that I had to manage to recover the hand and my config!!!

I cannot reproduce your crash.

Whatever happens, you should always have a dcs.log file in your "Saved Games/DCS.../Logs" folder. The next time it happens to you, please attach it.

Are you absolute 100% sure that there is a causality between DCS and your severe crash. I had DCS crash probably a 100 times, but 90% it was to gpu or cpu over-clocking (dont ask, just another stupid interest). Blackscreens aka crash to reset almost exclusively occur with cpu overclocks. Gpu overclocks (and therefore instability) usually lead to freezes or to crash to desktop.

I had DCS crashing a couple of times without any overclocks too, but never to such extend as you describe. There is of course always the chance for new zero-day-issue, but unlikely.

I would suggest to try and rule out other issues. Especially temperature and wear and tear issues (the 1080ti is a great gpu, but about five years old, isn’t it?).

Edit: just checked encyclopedia -> F-14 A, no crash on my system (Ryzen, 3080), second test on Intel i7, 1080ti -> no crash.
