twistking Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 *sigh* ... more night lighting ... issues ... At a certain distance the lights of the Arleigh Burke are not visible at all. It's probably a certain LOD that's missing lights. Also lights are not visible enough on everything but LOD zero. But that's a problem with most (if not all) ships. 2 My improved* wishlist after a decade with DCS *now with 17% more wishes compared to the original
Flappie Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Just tested. Like you said, it's a problem with most (if not all) ships. Arleigh Burke lights have the same LOD than SC ships lights. 1 ---
b0bl00i Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 I'd say the same is true for most lighting in DCS. Fiddeling around with in cockpit zoom all of a sudden brings lights out of the gloom. While looking around using the F2 view, the same can be seen when comparing with the cockpit view. Visible light travel a long distance and in DCS it's rendered very short. I have something similar to bring up while we talk about view distance and that's ground objects. They all of a sudden pop in but working the camera zoom makes them visible. I think ED need to bump up the visible view distance for lights and objects. It has been like this for years. 1
