brettt777 Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 I just ordered and received a Logitech X-56 HOTAS throttle and stick. I used it a couple days ago for the first time for about an hour. All was well. I am using a powered USB hub as recommended. Tonight I plugged it in the exact same way. It started cycling on and off, as in the LED lighting was going on and off. It did this for a minute or so then stopped. Then the stick was dead. No lights, no nothing. My PC doesn't see it at all when it's plugged in. The throttle worked fine. I tried it in different USB ports. Nothing, just... dead. I just freaking got this thing. It's brand new, used it once for an hour. Use the recommended powered USB hub, and this is what I get? WTF??? What can I do about this? AMD Ryzen 9 5900X @ 4.4ghz, 64gb DDR4 @ 3200mhz, GeForce RTX-3060ti 8GB DDR6, Three KTC 32" QHD monitors @ 165hz, Rosewill 80plus Bronze 1000w, Corsair Hydro H100i, 2tb M.2 SSD for OS, Two 3tb HDD, 2tb SSD for DCS, P3D, Star Citizen, Sound Blaster Zx, Thermaltake Overseer RX-I, Winwing Orion 2 HOTAS F-15EX throttle and F-16EX stick, Winwing 3 MFD MIP with FA-18 UFC and F-16 ICP, TrackIR 5, Surround Speakers & Subwoofer, Oculus Quest 2 VR. :joystick::pilotfly:
Dogmanbird Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 I'm not sure if the joystick base needs to make connection to the grip to work (for x and y to register), but it might be worth disconnecting and reconnecting the grip to the base.

Bossco82 Posted August 16, 2022 Posted August 16, 2022 Send it back under warranty, the powered USB advise is common. However I have a X-56 and mine works best if I plug it into the back of the motherboard. If I dont I get ghosting on the throttle.
