HOWEVER... if you only do that edit then every time the autopilot modes are switched off (either attitude or altitude) the master caution tone plays on a continuous loop and can't be cancelled. To fix that you need to comment out the master_caution line (see screenshot). Even more interestingly, when you do so the master caution tone still plays when the master caution light comes on, but no longer loops until cancelled.

Thanks, I was wondering about this sound, without doing the link with the suppression of the SAS sound ! Just tried to find without success in different MFD screens what was creating the warning in the AH64...

Intel i5 10400K @4.8 GHz, 3080ti, 32 GB RAM, Varjo Areo.

I spend my time making 3dmigoto VR mods for BoS and DCS instead of flying, see https://www.patreon.com/lefuneste

So done a bit more testing with this...

Commenting out the line suggested by lefunete01 above does indeed get rid of the annoying long SAS saturation tone. Interestingly it replaces it with the (as I understand it) correct "short" tone, but only when the SAS is actually saturated, so it only plays in sync with the EUFD messages. All the erroneous warnings are removed.

I just found out you can simply change "Tones/flt-ctrl" to "" on the 5th tone line and you don't even have to comment out any other lines.

I fly rather okay, but since about a week I have annoying sound of SAS SATURATION message too often to stand the game. It appears very often except perhaps straight flying. Even small adjustment of throttle causes it. Tried to turn off various channels in A/C utils page, but to no avail. I see a green bar of throttle input slowly creeping up or down the limits (on the controls preview). I have deadzones set to about 3 in each axis. Stick is saitek X56. Anyone else has this problem? It is very annoying during the hover attempts or during the combat. No way to turn the sound off. Perhaps there is a way to change a sound file to avoid hearing it every several seconds?

yeah since the last patch the SAS SATURATION goes off a lot more than before the patch. Give it time they will fix it sooner or later. I have a strange bug on my system where if my USB headphones are plugged in (not being used but plugged in) those little SAS sound disappear! lol

I have the new patch installed and did a 45 minute flight go some first impressions.

I didn‘t get any saturation sounds and warning displays in the UEFD wether in hold modes or not.

In the last two patch versions I got messages even not in hold modes nearly each minute in flight.

Has this been addressed in today's OB patch? I couldn't find anything related in the change log.

Sort of. It's not as aggressive as it used to be, but it's still there. The collective SAS channel is still not quite where it needs to be, so I'm still killing it on startup. This results in the message and tone fairly regularly.
