Hiob Posted August 29, 2022 Posted August 29, 2022 Hi folks, the rather big delay for the Sparrow to release after trigger press is killing me. I can't count how often I fired multiple because I was impatient. Is there any indication, that the trigger is registeredm, before the actual release of the weapon? Thanks! Knock-Knock Posted August 29, 2022 Posted August 29, 2022 I just hold it in until its on its way. Made me think of this good info answer on why: 1 - Jack of many DCS modules, master of none. - Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS. | Windows 11 | i5-12400 | 64Gb DDR4 | RTX 3080 | 2x M.2 | 27" 1440p | Rift CV1 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind pedals |
Hiob Posted August 29, 2022 Author Posted August 29, 2022 Thank you for the linked thread! That helped a lot to understand. Nevertheless, it would be a nice feedback for the pilot if, e.g., the hot trigger light would flash once the trigger depress is registered. It is as it is, adapt, overcome.... Thanks Guys! Hot trigger light will go out and turn back on once the first weapon is released. 1 Discord: @dsplayer Setup: R7 7800X3D, 64GB 6000Mhz, Saitek/Logitech X56 HOTAS, TrackIR + TrackClipPro Resources I've Made: F-4E RWR PRF Sound Player | DCS DTC Web Editor Mods I've Made: F-14 Factory Clean Cockpit Mod | Modern F-14 Weapons Mod | Iranian F-14 Weapons Pack | F-14B Nozzle Percentage Mod + Label Fix | AIM-23 Hawk Mod for F-14
Hiob Posted August 29, 2022 Author Posted August 29, 2022 Just now, DSplayer said: Hot trigger light will go out and turn back on once the first weapon is released. Released or triggered? I will look out for it the next time in the cockpit and also try to flip the ACM cover. "Muß ich denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sauge oder saugblase den Schlauchstecker in die Schlauchnut schieben?"

Hiob Posted August 29, 2022 Author Posted August 29, 2022 (edited) That would be exactly the clue, I was looking for. Cool! I will try it as soon as possible. Never noticed that connection. Stupid me...... @DSplayer Thank you! Edited August 29, 2022 by Hiob "Muß ich denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sauge oder saugblase den Schlauchstecker in die Schlauchnut schieben?"
AH_Solid_Snake Posted August 29, 2022 Posted August 29, 2022 I find the best trick is the press and hold method - it will only fire one round per depress. You can also cut the TTL to nearer 1s by flipping up the ACM cover
scommander2 Posted August 29, 2022 Posted August 29, 2022 (edited) I think ACM cover up has the special puporse for the targeting solution. RustBelt Posted August 29, 2022 Posted August 29, 2022 The thing to remember is, these are modeling actual killing machines. It’s why you fire it with a trigger. And all good trigger discipline is that you squeeze to increase pressure and maintain that pressure until the firing action is complete. Unless your controller is broken, there’s no reason to assume it didn’t register your trigger pull.
