golfsierra2 Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Is there enough interest within the community for a LO event like Cooperative Archer after DCS is out? See =FV=MAD's question here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=26920&page=2 kind regards, Raven.... [sigpic]http://www.crc-mindreader.de/CRT/images/Birds2011.gif[/sigpic]
Vekkinho Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Of course there is! No fast movers in DCS so far! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
X-man Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Until DCS gets fastmovers, LO will be the sim to fly :) Im interested in COOP Archer 64th Aggressor Squadron Discord: 64th Aggressor Squadron TS: 135.181.115.54
Bearitall Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 I'd say yes Lo will continue, how do I say this well at TCL-Team Combat League ( www.teamcombatleague.ca ) we continue to see players joining. For instance our FC 1vs1 Gunz Only ladder now has 69 players on it which should make competitions for positions interesting..we all so have a 1vs1 Tournament event about to begin...and we anticipate more players signing up for the $300.00+TrackIR4 prize for 1st place, $200.00 for 2nd place and $100.00 for 3rd place.. Check you six TCL-Admin*Bearitall www.virtualtuskegeeairmen.com
Geier Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 I guess it's needed, but the head of project should consist of two persons, not like we've seen the event previous time;) I mean one from ru team and one from eng. 1
Teapot Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I really like the idea. I foresee some GREAT scenarios happening in 2 - 5 years time; assuming DCS continues from strength to strength. :D Good stuff! "A true 'sandbox flight sim' requires hi-fidelity flyable non-combat utility/support aircraft." Wishlist Terrains - Bigger maps Wishlist Modules - A variety of utility aircraft to better reflect the support role. E.g. Flying the Hornet ... big yawn ... flying a Caribou on a beer run to Singapore? Count me in. Extracting a Recon Patrol from a hastily prepared landing strip at a random 6 figure grid reference? Now yer talking!
golfsierra2 Posted January 7, 2009 Author Posted January 7, 2009 Oh com'on... about 16o have read this thread and only 16 voted so far ? Hey, guys, please don't be so reluctant !! kind regards, Raven.... [sigpic]http://www.crc-mindreader.de/CRT/images/Birds2011.gif[/sigpic]
Geier Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Golfsierra, do you remember what the previous (and unfortunately the last:() flight has ended? We had a great row because Torwak from the "direction" decided to review the results of flight! Red team carried the palm legally and it was adopted by everyone. And several days after we got an announcement that results were nullified and we must refly the battle! It's not a real business custom at all! So we (Ru, Serb etc.) abolished the project!!!
golfsierra2 Posted January 9, 2009 Author Posted January 9, 2009 Sorry to hear that, m8. But I think that the CA planner team has learned from the previous hick ups and will do much better this time. Give them a chance ! kind regards, Raven.... [sigpic]http://www.crc-mindreader.de/CRT/images/Birds2011.gif[/sigpic]
Teapot Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 Aiyaya! We all live and learn, because we all make mistakes. At least, the mistakes we make here are in the realm of playing. Hopefully we can all get into the sandbox and start playing again! :D Cheers! "A true 'sandbox flight sim' requires hi-fidelity flyable non-combat utility/support aircraft." FVMAD Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 It's in the past. So just forget about it. Time heals everything :) We can give a chanse to this event again. Organizers had a good lesson on this one, so if event will happen again, there won't be same failure.
golfsierra2 Posted January 29, 2009 Author Posted January 29, 2009 13? Ain't much people interested... Think positive... Each of them represents only one of a wing or squad, so calculate 13 x 4 (average) pilots = 52  kind regards, Raven.... [sigpic]http://www.crc-mindreader.de/CRT/images/Birds2011.gif[/sigpic]
Boberro Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Dunno if it was good party cos I didn't be there, but I think if there is more parties, there will be good. 169th's BSS is not too often and I think not enough. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
104th_Crunch Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 BSS Info. Well Boberro, there is an old saying, "always leave them wanting more." If they are not too often then people will want to fly in them even more! Once we had BSS every 2 weeks but people lost interest. Currently BSS happens every 2 months. This also allows for good planning which takes time. There are also the other great events like LOCERF and the 51st Crimean Incident. I suggest that if you crave flying in organized way with other Lock On players, you join up with one of the many squads available.
