You can see right after i hit FTR i center the cyclic and the bird pitches up as it doesnt hold trim, did it couple of times..

This goes for instant trim and center trim modes

and confirm you are using "Force Trim/Hold mode Switch - R/Up" in the controls for the trim function

Using winwing orion F16ex Hotas and MFG crosswind pedals.

Took the spring out of pedals and have them set to springless trim option

Cyclic i tried both instant and center trim.

Yes, i use force trim R/up

Tried already, doesnt work...

When i view my control indicator i see the red cross jump to where my input is, or if i press and hold i see the jumping there when i release. The white diamond and green cross follow my input when i recenter.

when I check your track I can see you are having issues, when I take control I have no problems and can not reproduce. 

I am going to run this by some more testers and see what they come up with

i guess i have to uninstall and do a fresh install, that solved the problems for the 2 people above...

Is there a way i can backup my settings, dont feel like redoing all my keybindings for each bird

I got similar results as BN when taking over this track, and the original track posted at the top of the thread.  I can see it isn't working for the user, then when I take over the track it works fine for me.

I can reproduce similar behavior to what the posters are experiencing when I set my special options for cyclic to FFB without springs, as it is expecting the FFB mechanism in the hardware to keep the stick positioned at the trimmed position.  But when I switch back to Central Position Trim mode for the cyclic, my controls work as expected again.  Perhaps the users with the issue are still stuck in FFB trim mode, regardless of what the UI is showing them in the Special tab?

That doesn't make sense. A repair is basically a way to check that the files in the core install are uncorrupted and recent. A new install should not be different.
All your settings are found in the Saved Games folder.

please also go to your saved games dcs config input folder

delete the AH-64D folders

then restart DCS and redo your controls 

see if there is any difference.

I have uninstalled DCS, removed saved games and installation folders, backed up the config/input for the planes i use which i plan to copy back.

Now doing a fresh installation, will keep you posted.

Ok fresh install did not work, trimmer still not working... im really bummed, the apache unflyable this way

Yes have tried all options...

The white diamond in the control indicator does not stay at the red cross

Can you disable force feedback in DCS settings and retry.

That was it, working like a chime now.

I was not even aware there was a FBB option under misc haha

Also not sure why that was checked by default.

 

But im super glad its fixed.

Please communicate with your team, for future reference as its super hard to find relevant information since 99% of trimmer problems are caused by people that dont understand the trimmer and thats all you get when searching online for a possible cause.

 

Suggest to remove the solved tag from the reinstall post and link it to this or your suggestion to uncheck FBB in misc options.
