theoklahomaaviator
Flying the Baltic Dragon Dominant Fury missions, several missions require an “items check” where one flare and one chaff are dispensed from each aircraft in the element. My flares behave normally but all AI controlled Hornet’s flares shoot upward rather than downward. I don’t have a track but I can build one to demonstrate if it matters/would help. Thank you! Solution Sedlo Posted September 5, 2022 Solution Share Posted September 5, 2022 (edited) @BIGNEWY and @theoklahomaaviator , currently there is no way in the ME or scripting to have AI launch a countermeasure flare. Those flares in BD’s missions are in the mission editor as “signal flares” and behave as a signal flare should. (Although, fighters don’t really have the capability to simulate signal flares IRL. I think they’re really intended for ground units to fire, that’s what they go upwards). It’s working as intended by Baltic as a work around in order to simulate the AI testing their countermeasures. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted September 5, 2022 ED Team Share Posted September 5, 2022 Thank you Sedlo, I was assuming it was aircraft counter measures. Working correct as is. 1 Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
