Breakaway Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 As a big fan of the F-5, I was happy to hear of the upgrades the tiger was getting IRL, also those G3000 screens look awesome. Will we see an F-5 AT in DCS in the future? Some info on the upgrades: https://tacticalairsupport.com/airplanes/northrop-f-5/ https://www.garmin.com/en-US/newsroom/press-release/aviation/garmin-g3000-selected-for-department-of-defense-contract-to-modernize-fleet-of-us-navy-and-marine-corps-f-5-aircraft/
VZ_342 Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 No. Unfortunately it's more of a "wash, wax, and new paint" upgrade. Maybe not even new paint. 1
Breakaway Posted September 13, 2022 Author Posted September 13, 2022 I mean if they did the Advanced Tiger they would have to release it as a new module anyway due to the ton of extras, I'm sure people would be interested in it. I'm no programmer but it seems like it wouldn't be too hard of a task considering the externals and FM is all done, they just need to redo the cockpit and systems.

Raviar Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 (edited) as a person who Entered to DCS because of F-5 on 2016, I would say NO with capital however it would be nice to have it as a Mod not a replacing the current F-5, the original F-5E even doesnt have the EWR ! people want two radio, AAR Probe, digitalize HUD, CCIP ! Mod would be perfect Edited September 15, 2022 by Raviar 2
