walt262 Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 When I get lined up strait on the runway to start to take off I turn the nose wheel steering off but notice when I start to role forward I'm getting turned to the left or the right. I now I have turned the nose wheel steering off when I'm dead straight. I tried rolling forward slowly strait and turning it off and soon as I do it turns me left or right. It looks like some kind of bug to me.
Ironhand Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 (edited) Is this with or without afterburner? And do you wait until both engines have equalized before you release the brakes? This conversation occurred elsewhere recently—though I haven’t been able to find it quickly, so it may have occurred in a thread on a different subject. IIRC, the issue occurs with afterburner. I hadn’t really noticed it prior because I so seldom use afterburner, when taking off. EDIT: Found the thread. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/300169-su-2733-drifting-sideways-on-takeoffs/#comment-4979669 Edited October 3, 2022 by Ironhand YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCU1...CR6IZ7crfdZxDg _____ Win 11 Pro x64, Asrock Z790 Steel Legend MoBo, Intel i7-13700K, MSI RKT 4070 Super 12GB, Corsair Dominator DDR5 RAM 32GB.
walt262 Posted October 3, 2022 Author Posted October 3, 2022 It happens when I have no % throttle and not moving forward but I'm lined up strait or just enough to barely move forward and lined up strait. Every time it pushes me left or right and not strait.

Otherwise there is always some veer off caused by either wind, storage or internal imbalance. Just use the rudder to keep straight and you're good.
