i dont know what to think on this i have read about 500 posts on trimming the KA and all is well when i take control in one of the training missions but when i load up one of the prebuilt missions to go out and play with what i have learned in training the damn think does not work. i take off get stable, get the AP modes all set up (no alt hold) and try to trim, nothing happens. i though maybe my cougar macro was screwed up but it works fine in the training missions and in the key tester, tried using the "t" key on the keyboard directly with the same result. i have the proceedure down in the training and it works great! is there something i am missing ? do you somehow have to activate the trimmer in the start up process? is it possible i have some file that is screwed up and is causing this?

any ideas ?

Thanks !

Are you sure your not in arcade mode? 2 different control setups. I don't think the trim does anything in arcade( I only played it a few times in arcade so it's not 100%)

Kind of weird that it works in a training and not a normal flight. But if you are "jumping in" on a training flight I believe you are using what was setup exactly for that track so by default it would be full realism?

Woohoo!

Thanks man!

it was indeed another controller, guess the fact that it was working in the supplied training missions had me convinced that there was something wrong with my cfg

i did read the FAQ :) just didnt make the connection :joystick:

I am having the same problem but do not have any other controllers plugged in. I am using a Black Widow joystick with a throttle and rudder control built in. Could it be the rudder or throttle axis confusing things. Anyway, how come it all works fine in training?

I am on Win7 32bit. not sure if that is causing an issue?
