How do I tell an ai Mig21 with a nuke to target Blue’s carrier?

I don't see this working at all.

IIRC, the nuke carried by the Mig21, detonates on hitting the ground.  Drop it on water and I don't believe that it will detonate.

This is scenario is perfectly possible but it requires a bit of effort. Primarily this effort is required because to my knowledge the version of the MiG21 Bis we have, is not an anti-shipping platform and therefore does not have this tasking option. (Later export versions were however modified for the anti-shipping role by the Indian military I believe). Plus the nukes provided were designed for land based targeting.

Setting the MiG-21 Bis tasking to “Ground Attack” and an advanced waypoint setting of “Perform Task” and then “Bombing” will allow you to drop a nuke on a moving ship. You will have to adjust the “Bombing Triangle” by trial and error to achieve a direct hit but it’s doable. (see attached .miz) It’s not always perfect but it is close enough for government work, especially when you consider you are trying to complete a task outside of IRL design limitations.

It's an easter egg with the MiG-21, not a serious implementation. It kills performance just as readily as it kills anything else, and is not really suitable for serious use. TBH, given how deeply classified anything nuke-related is, including basic procedures and mechanization, I don't think we'll ever get them.

Luckily, the bombing triangle is of somewhat diminished importance when trying to attack a carrier. It's not like you need any sort of accuracy with a friggin' nuke. 🙂
