orl_cz
Hi, I'm going to upgrade my GPU. Is it better to wait for AMD RX 7700 8GB or buy RX 6700XT 12GB. Both will probably be for similar money. My question is whether the marian islands map will be sufficient for 2k 8gb vram mainly? I currently have a ful hd 8gb card still at max with memory loaded on other maps as well. my PC: intel core i5-10600K, Radeon RX580 8GB, DDR4 32GB 3200MHz, 250GB SSD Sata-III for DCS My starting sim site

The 8GB you mention are highly unlikely, as it would be a lot less than the ongoing 6700XT model, it makes little sense. The truth is, right now noone really knows what's the VRAM on the upcoming AMD GPU models. So, by all means, do as most are doing right now - be patient and wait for one more month or so. Things then should be a lot more clear, and decisions will feel a lot more confident and easier to make. Konovalov
Be patient if you can and wait as AMD's RDNA3 7000 GPU's are only a matter of weeks away. Also Nvidia should be releasing the 4080 cards soon which will definately be a beter value than the overpriced, fat and oversized 4090 boombox of a graphics card. 1 Intel i7-8700K | Asus Maximus X Formula | Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR4 3200MHz | Gainward Phoenix GTX1070 GLH | Samsung 960 EVO NVMe 1 x 250GB OS & 1 x 500GB Games | Corsair RM750x 750W | Corsair Carbide Air 540| Win10 | Dell 27" 1440p 60Hz | Custom water loop: CPU EK-Supremacy EVO, GPU EK-GTX JetStream - Acetal+Nickel & Backplate, Radiator EK-Coolstream PE 360, Pump & Res EK-XRES 140 Revo D5, Fans 3 x EK-Vardar 120mm & 2 x Corsair ML140 140mm
BeastyBaiter
Agreed on waiting. In a month or two you will get a vastly more powerful card for the same money, or be able to buy that card on ebay for half off. 1 System specs: i5-10600k (4.9 GHz), RX 6950XT, 32GB DDR4 3200, NVMe SSD, Reverb G2, WinWing Super Libra/Taurus, CH Pro Pedals.
