Slayer Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 You know with the SD6 software you can download an x52 or x52 pro profile and reuse the functions they already made. It's a huge timesaver, just load up the profle and change the dropdown to X45 and then you can use every funtion that they have made without having to do all the typing yourself. I know it's not exactly what you want but there aren't a ton of X45 users left and I donated mine to a friend :P [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] System Specs Intel I7-3930K, Asrock EXTREME9, EVGA TITAN, Mushkin Chronos SSD, 16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws Z series 2133, TM Warthog and MFD's, Saitek Proflight Combat pedals, TrackIR 5 + TrackClip PRO, Windows 7 x64, 3-Asus VS2248H-P monitors, Thermaltake Level 10 GT, Obutto cockpit

einar-st Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Hi... I use the X45 and have a profile set up. It's kind of temporary and I add/change stuff all the time when I feel I need to. Most of the combat-stuff is at Mode2. Mode3 is just a backup of Mode2. I would however advice you to either make your own or follow Slayer's advice. I didn't know you could use X52 profiles. If you'd like to use my profile as a starting-point however, you can download it here: http://www.tusj.net/stasj/blackshark.pr0 On to another issue, is the X52(Pro) a good improvement of the X45 in terms of feel? I'm not completely satisified with how the cyclic stick feels. Did you notice any improvement, Slayer?
stevie52 Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 The best change is that the rudder is wrist - controlled on the x52. if you don't have pedals (like me) it's pretty hard to accurately use the rudders on the collective with the x45. Atleast, thats my experience. stevie
Ragtag Posted January 8, 2009 Author Posted January 8, 2009 I actually tried using a X52 pro file but when i select the X45 in the drop-down list page goes blank. So i figured it didn't work. It will be blank like I said, but all the kepresses and macros that were used in the X52 profile are available to use in your X45 profile. It's just a way to save you some time inputing them all yourself. I'm not completely satisified with how the cyclic stick feels. Did you notice any improvement, Slayer? I definately like the joystick more. It just seems to fit my hand better and there is an adjustable platform on the bottom where the pinky button is so you can adjust it to your hand size. All i need to do is design a good setup on paper and designate controls later. Thanks :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I7 3930K. 16Gb Corsair Vengeance 1866mhz. Asus P9X79 Deluxe. Asus GTX680 2Gb.
