mibo Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Usb ports changed, cables checked are fine, drivers (USB and Reverb) window updated. It worked well with 2080Ti GPU then I changed to 3080 and it worked after installation. Suddenly no screen, the HP Logo is not lighting up but on Device Manager (in hidden) it shows the device and says it is working properly. The Link Box white pilot light is on. Wanted to go to HP support but cannot find any G2 Support page... Could it be the power adapter even if Link Box light is on? or is the cable bad ? Should I buy the newer cable and Link box? Is there a shorter cable than 6 m? Could not see anything wrong. Has Someone any idea? Am in the Dominican Republic there is no shop or friend with a G2. PLEASE HELP.
speed-of-heat Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Try disabling the device in device manager… waiting a few minutes and then enabling it. jurinko Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 I had the same issue, white led on the power brick blinked slowly. I got a new v2 cable from HP. Try another cable or try your cable with another unit.
edmuss Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 My white HP logo stopped coming on and gave a 7-13 error in WMRP. HP sent a V2 cable under warranty which didn't change anything so they changed the headset. It's been fine since but it was the headset itself that was dead. Here in the UK I needed to phone up the tech support and fight my way though the phone system menus to get to the right place - it wasn't as simple as you'd think, if I recall correctly it was something like workstations support that you had to go through for the VR headset team. mibo Posted October 18, 2022 Author Posted October 18, 2022 Thank all for replying. I think it is the cable. I ordered the new type V2 from amazon. Quiet expensive $ 159. I'll post on this forum if the new cable solved or not the problem. Nevertheless I have seen in DEVICE MANAGER hidden file that The G2 has a Device error 0x8004020 E DEVICE USB SPEED TOO SLOW. i hope it is not a dying Motherboard or Processor or the Mask itself. What are your thoughts?
mibo Posted October 26, 2022 Author Posted October 26, 2022 Finally the new cable solved the problem. The V2 cable worked even with usb cport which the reverb g2 could not detected with the original cable 2
mibo Posted October 27, 2022 Author Posted October 27, 2022 I was wrong To all, I was wrong The headset lighted up and I thought it worked. In usb C3.1 with MSFS it showed cockpit but all distorted that one cannot read at all and not see clearly. Changing to USB 3 or 2 it says: working but error 0x80040205 E device No Timesync DATL or trying another USB 3 with power hub = error 800402202 E Device Transfer Error and headset is not lighting up. Tried DCS and Aerofly with USB C and this two work without distorsions so is it possible that the new V2 cable is not working with MSFS 2020? Tried also USB 3 without powered USB hub, it is not working...of course all my settings are for VR, and worked before, I d8r not change settings....any ideas?
jurinko Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 My v1 cable worked only on pcie 4x usb hub. v2 cable does not connect at all when plugged into the hub but works on normal motherboard usb. But the hub itself works as i moved joysticks, pedals there.
mye Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 Mine Reverb stopped detecting in new Windows 11 reinstall. Yesterday it was fine. Today nothing is working. No USB device detected
