Hey all,

Just goty MFDs, set them up and they worked perfect for the A10, and F16 but Harrier all the Left and Right MFD keys show up orange and when MFD button is assigned it shows the red ! Point and when I hover over it it shows the key name (key 27) or what ever. Any ideas on why or how to fix?

I'm not entirely sure that I follow what you're saying, but I want to just confirm that Cougar MFDs do indeed work very well with the Harrier. So, do persevere. Silly question, perhaps, but do you have them in the right place - left MFD positioned to the left of the other one?  It's conceivable that the column order might somehow be reversed in your Harrier controls page, with the result that the right MFD appears first in the column sequence. That would naturally be counter-intuitive and confusing.

I fly in VR and have some little self-adhesive plastic "jewels" stuck to various of the keys to allow me to navigate them without actually being able to see them. As long as you always put them in the same place it's surprising just how quickly the muscle memory establishes and I find it very easy and intuitive to use.

Maybe that is it, will try tonight after work. Are the MFDs coded to be specifically left or right? If that is the case it could be it, I just figured it wouldn't matter but maybe it does. Thank you, worth a try.

Logged on this evening and everything is working fine.

I'm glad you got them working. Just one note, in response to your question about the MFSs being coded for left and right: I notice that my left MFD has a bright green LED in its top left corner while the right MFD has that corresponding LED in the top right corner. In other words, the LEDs are in the top outside corners.

While I haven't tested this, I'm surmising that these lights are there to confirm that  you have them in the correct positions.

The MFDs are great for any/all planes. They depend on the controller mapping.

I have 4 MFDs that I mount with medical sticky material (Dycem) on an external 1080 monitor. I use Helios to export airframe displays under the MFDs. It is brilliant to see the game’s MFD content within the button frame and interact with it there. Harrier is my primary airframe, but have mapped multiple other planes.

The indicator lights and brightness are configurable. I think they are in the Windows controller advanced settings.

I think in the Target software you can select which is which, but yeah, one will be left and one will be right, and you'd need to either physically move them or adjust their order in software/ingame.

You may need to delete the f16 mfd. Diff file from your dcs installation, so next time you fire up dcs, the default configuration is empty
