In pvp the f15 climb rate can be doubled or more by simply lowering the gear while your climbing?

Ha! I know what it is. Just tested climbing with gear up and down, clean. With gear up - you have altimeter HUD numbers for every 500ft, while with gear down - the numbers are for every 100ft - so they roll like crazy and you feel like a rocket, but when you look at the gauge altimeter - it's the same climb rate.
