With the recent update 2.8, AI will not terminate a predetermined hold time at a specific waypoint.  Recognized this in liberation campaign and I reproduced it in a generated mission. Defined an "Orbit" advanced waypoint action with a Stop Condition at a specific mission time.  All AI with these types of waypoint action just orbit indefinitely.

Just had this same thing. Haven’t played SP in a while. Loaded up a liberation campaign and I swear every flight set to go to a hold point just stayed there. Out on a bombing run in the harrier.. actually trying to follow waypoint times for once.. oh look some migs are spotting me.. where’s my escort(s)?  f-10 map: oh all 4 jets, two separate flights, are still circling the initial hold point even though its  already past TOT …🤦‍♂️

Oh didn’t see that, I’ve been running the 6.0 builds. 5.2.1 wins until ED fixes it.

HaHa , 5.2.1 fixed the hold issue for sure, but I forget how dumb the AI is.. they did pretty good until it came time to land. Multiple collisions, a couple in the air, some on the ground, pilots ejecting at random on final, landing with broken landing gear and veering off the runway and crashing.  I landed my harrier back on the tarawa… my wingman however decided to turn around and re-follow every waypoint, flew back to the target point, didn’t shoot anything ( nor did he attack anything when I told him to during the flight), flew back to tarawa, came in for vertical landing, got next to the ship, skipped the landing area, hovered slowly towards the front of the ship, hovered there for about two minutes just off the bow, about 20’ up, then just ejected🤦‍♂️ I lost 8 aircraft that round, only 1 was from actually getting shot down..what the hell is going on , I think the AI is getting worse and worse 😂
