TheFlyGuy Posted November 2, 2022 Share Posted November 2, 2022 (edited) I haven't flown the F14 for a while, so I can't say since when exactly the Problem exists, but when I now load into a Mission with a playable F14 DCS crashes to Desktop. I've already deactivated and deleted the F14 and reinstalled it again with no effect. Also did a Repair run with the DCS Updater. Just for testing purposes I created a new Mission on the Caucasus Map with a single, flyable F16. The Misison loaded fine. Went back to Mission Editor and added a flyable F14B. DCS crashed while loading into the Mission (while the Loading Screen shows "World Preload 1/60"). Reloaded DCS, removed the F14 from the Mission, and was able to run the Misison again. So it's definitly a Problem caused by the F14. EDIT: After some more Testing it seems like the Problem only occurs with the F14-B. Crashed toward end of loading the F-14B on any default instant action missions or otherwise, worked fine for years (A model still works fine). Deleted the F-14 entirely and re-installed it and have the same issue. No issues with any of the other aircraft. I removed all mods in Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods and it loaded without crashing, woo thank you! I gradually started re-adding the removed folders & files to troubleshoot and it appears the problem is with the entry.lua file (attached here for reference). Thoughts as to why that is causing problems? Are there any consequences to deleting this file? No worries about the mod, the only one i had installed was the brickdust VR friendly cockpit mod and it's textures stopped mapping properly after a few updates to the f-14 and became unusable.
