Yuya6104 Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 been woundering how come DCS never thought about leting Mi-24 hind since this king of the skys since 1979 - 2009 an much of this gunship seen more action then any possbile helicopter up to date. one thing is helicopter is like the akm-47 simble of russia an its arm forces. anyway this topic basicly to decuess about Mil Mi-24 only. here some video ive found of the Hind in action. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5bl9WJbVwo&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TP8IIE1RiI&feature=related
AlphaOneSix Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Mi-24 is on the list, but it won't be done for a few years.
Yuya6104 Posted January 12, 2009 Author Posted January 12, 2009 ah that cool cant wait for that. any idea what model D/V/P/Mk.4?
Moreno Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 This is what I found when I typed "Hind" into the search form: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=36359&highlight=hind The search function is your friend (as well as the trim function) ;)
Stingray Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Won't the fact that they require a crew of two make it a little bit challenging to model/implement for singe player?
NRG-Vampire Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 (edited) where is the removable engine (combat) heat shields from DCS Mi-24 model ? because it's missing Edited January 12, 2009 by NRG-Vampire
sobek Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I think it was alpha who pointed out that due to a susceptibility to heat related stress cracks, they are used very rarely,so don't sweat it. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
AlphaOneSix Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Why aren't they in the game? Because they are ugly as hell. ;) Just kidding, I have no idea why they aren't in the game. Maybe they are all cracked and are sitting in the maintenance shop awaiting repair. I believe the version mentioned to be modelled will be the Mi-24V, but I am not positive, and even if I was, it would be subject to change wihtout my input. :P
arneh Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 The announced the V-model at first. But then showed some work in progress screenshots of the P-model cockpit. And when I asked Wags said they hadn't decided yet. So that's how it stands currently :) 1
