So about the estimated coverage area of the Patriot STR. And, the radar body being static, not sweeping 360 deg. Do I need to add 4 search/track radars to one single Patriot site? Or, do you have to place 4 separate full sites in order to cover all 360 deg? Or, do you use an EWR in conjunction with the Patriot site, to perform the initial detection and pass it to the Patriot STR to take over?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I don't know how it should be, and I want to learn to do it right. Thanks for any help.

Thank ya @Grimes, I didn't know what the typical setup would be in order to have 360 coverage.

You can have multiple radars within the same group for full coverage.

In real life you will need a minimum of 4 complete units (make it 5 for some overlap) to cover 360.

On the other hand, PATRIOT was not built to cover a the whole circle. You want to cover the main threat direction with overlaps and let other systems take care of the gaps.

Oh, you will never mass the units the way you show in your picture.

Ok, thanks @Lt_Jaegerfor the info. I threw those STRs down to show how I planned to set them up if I used 4 radars. I'll just use a single Patriot battery with a couple smaller support emplacements then.
