Add setting to remove wing stabilizers/fence

Many F-86Fs (for example those that Taiwan received) do not have vertical stabilizers on the wings. Please add a setting in DCS "special settings" menu to remove those, so players can chose between slightly reduced drag or higher stabilization.

The F-86F without fences is a different wing and would require flight model work to do correctly.

Wow okay 😯 Was that wing newer than our wing? And does it reduce total aircraft width?

The wings went through several evolutions from wings without fences on the earlier A model to addition of wing fences to removal of fences and replacement with leading edge slats on the E and F model, then they removed the slats reinstalled the fences and added six inches by the F block 30 and retuned the fence then extended the wings twelve inches and added slats by the F-40. Not at my computer but a quick with references but a quick google:

Those are not to stabilize , but to help reduce lost of lift due to swept wing design.

Fences are to prevent spanwise flow and redirect the flow to maintain control effectiveness at high AOA

Why wasn't the air fence design of the MiG-15 wing incorporated onto the wing of the North American F-86 Sabre? - Quora

As you can see, other Sabre wings used leading edge devices (slats) to control high AOA flow on the outboard wing.

Yes, great info. The 15 and 17 had massive fences and the airfoils were much thicker than the 86. I think this lent to the climb rate of the 15. But they look very agricultural and tractor like. Kind of a less than ideal solution for their high speed swept wings. But that's probably just my Amerikanski bias showing through. 😉 And remember, North American also had a winner with the laminar flow wing on the 51.
