Hi, I am getting a critical error message every time I load DCS. Has anyone ever seen this before and know how to fix this issue. Many thanks

Yes, I am getting it as well with the Reverb.  its been happening for a while now. as soon as the Memory max out on the GPU the game crashes.

This is the  'DCS2.0 Open Alpha Bugs and Problems' forum. Alpha 2.0 closed over 2yrs ago. DCS 2.8 is the latest version. Posting in the correct sub-forum will get a better response.

@BIGNEWY and @NineLine It might be time to make the legacy forums read only??

If you're on a AMD system on a x570 board make sure your BIOS runs at least AGESA 1.2.0.3 or higher.
For the G2 make sure you're on the latest firmware (15 Rev.A) and have the new replacement cable ( P/N: L72080-002 SPS: M52188-001 )

Moved to VR

try reinstalling steamVR

update windows

update all drivers

Hopefully that will help

I have tried all that, plus using different M.2 drives,  Its not DCS related as I get it on Elite Dangerous as well.  Its something to do with Mixed reality portal linking with Steam VR but I don't know.

If it's VRAM related, try running openxr, it's much better on vram utilisation than wmr4steamvr 🙂

Go into steam and find Windows Mixed Reality for Steamvr in your library then go to properties and select the betas tab finally click the drop-down menu under betas and select “lkg_release - lkg_release” and it should fix it.

I was having the same issue and it seemed to cause memory overflows related to some new feature they’ve added to make games run “better”. Oddly I just built my new pc and the new version runs fine on it without crashing but wouldn’t on my old system.
