Hello!
Has anyone ever seen the waypoint types in bold described in RC2 page 381?

Waypoints B1-9: B1, BP1
Target waypoints M1-9: MP1 MB1 MBP1
Measured Recce targets M1: M1, MR1

  • TOViper changed the title to Question regarding waypoint types MP, MB, MBP, MR

Thanks @MYSE1234 for bringing me to the correct thread! In this case, I would completely remove the additional labels from the manual, in order to avoid further confusion, to read the following only (Note that I scratched the Measured Recce targets, because why would one create waypoints for such targets when on the other hand M1 is used for target points ... WTF ??? )

·         Airfields LS, L1, L2

·         Waypoints B1 - B9

·         Target waypoints M1 - M9

·         Markpoints: BX1 - BX9

·         Measured Recce targets M1

·         RUTA points R1 - R9

@Scandfox  thanks for your input.

As far as I understand it makes no sense to enter a S1 waypoint via the F-10 map.

This is what the RC2 says:
"Data from the target measurement mode (MÅL) can be transferred to the target tracking
mode layer (SKU). This is done by selecting the desired measured target in SPA/MÅL and
then pressing the waypoint button LS/SKU twice in rapid succession.
"

Are you sure of what you are talking about?

I personally wouldn't remove that part as it is possible to input them on the real aircraft. It's not something used often in DCS, but it is possible.

Even if they cannot be entered using the F-10 map (which the section on page 381 is currently about ...)?
