TOViper
Hello! Has anyone ever seen the waypoint types in bold described in RC2 page 381? Waypoints B1-9: B1, BP1 Target waypoints M1-9: MP1 MB1 MBP1 Measured Recce targets M1: M1, MR1 Edited November 15, 2022 by TOViper Visit https://www.viggen.training ...Viggen... what more can you ask for? my computer: AMD Ryzen 5600G | NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti OC 11GB | 32 GB 3200 MHz DDR4 DUAL | SSD 980 256 GB SYS + SSD 2TB DCS | TM Warthog Stick + Throttle + TRP | Rift CV1
MYSE1234
They are just the accepted spelling for the different waypoint types. 1 1 Viggen is love. Viggen is life. 7800X3D | RTX 4070 Ti S | 64GB 6000MHz RAM |
TOViper
Thanks @MYSE1234 for bringing me to the correct thread! In this case, I would completely remove the additional labels from the manual, in order to avoid further confusion, to read the following only (Note that I scratched the Measured Recce targets, because why would one create waypoints for such targets when on the other hand M1 is used for target points ... WTF ??? ) · Airfields LS, L1, L2 · Waypoints B1 - B9 · Target waypoints M1 - M9 · Markpoints: BX1 - BX9 · Measured Recce targets M1 · RUTA points R1 - R9 Edited November 15, 2022 by TOViper 1 Visit https://www.viggen.training ...Viggen... what more can you ask for? my computer: AMD Ryzen 5600G | NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti OC 11GB | 32 GB 3200 MHz DDR4 DUAL | SSD 980 256 GB SYS + SSD 2TB DCS | TM Warthog Stick + Throttle + TRP | Rift CV1
Scandfox
And S1 - S9 in LS/SKU
TOViper
@Scandfox thanks for your input. As far as I understand it makes no sense to enter a S1 waypoint via the F-10 map. This is what the RC2 says: "Data from the target measurement mode (MÅL) can be transferred to the target tracking mode layer (SKU). This is done by selecting the desired measured target in SPA/MÅL and then pressing the waypoint button LS/SKU twice in rapid succession." Are you sure of what you are talking about? Scandfox
Sorry I didn't read what You was discussing carefully. There is clearly no sense to enter S1 on F10 map.

It's not something used often in DCS, but it is possible. Edited November 15, 2022 by MYSE1234 Viggen is love. TOViper
Even if they cannot be entered using the F-10 map (which the section on page 381 is currently about ...)? MYSE1234
I think using "MR" they are, if I read that thread correctly. Haven't tried it though.. Viggen is love. Viggen is life. 7800X3D | RTX 4070 Ti S | 64GB 6000MHz RAM |
