Hello VR users,

There is tips to recover the ALT-ENTER tips we were used to apply in order to have better performances

I tested it with my Rift and performances are coming back

- remove 'use DCS system resolution' in VR settings
- use 'disable full screen optimisation' in DCS shortcut or DCS.EXE
- apply the a fix in autoexec.cfg ( see thread )
- start DCS : ALT-ENTER works ! ( mirror is a black screen but everything is ok in HeadSet )

Let me explain

as a rift user, when DCS is started, the Mirror is not in full screen mode ( dedicated gpu to program )

and we toogle in Fullscreen  : we get better performances and cursor not going outsider dcs ( not a working in DCS since few patch )

what vr headset or wmr system you use ?

I have tried this. I concur that ALT+ENTER is broken and this fixed it. I believe I noticed a small improvement in frame times but nothing huge. What I did notice is that with this change and ALT+ENTER it introduced lots, I mean LOTS, of shimmer. It's as though DCS is producing a lower res image. If it is, this would explain the improvement in frame time. For me though, the loss in image clarity/quality far outweighs any gain in frame times. Have you noticed the shimmer?

Frame time improvements aren't something you believe...  they are something you measure 😉
